We're seeking individuals, current or past patients of Peter Mac, to share their story. Whether you've been treated for cancer or supported a loved one through their journey, your story holds significance – and we're eager to hear it.

We also welcome stories from organisations or groups who have fundraised for Peter Mac and wish to share their experiences.

Why are sharing stories important?

Stories from the Peter Mac community help our supporters understand the experience people in Australia have following a cancer diagnosis, or their experience caring for a loved one with cancer. Our role at the Foundation is to raise money to support the vital cancer research happening at Peter Mac – research that will result in cancer cures, and more effective, kinder treatments for people living with cancer. Personal stories play an important role in helping people understand why their support is so vital. 

Will my story be shared?

How will I know if my story has been chosen to be shared?

Once we receive your submission, it will be reviewed by our team. We will respond to submissions if an opportunity arises to share that story. By submitting your response, you understand that your story may be shared publicly with your name, or otherwise used, published or displayed. Before we publicly post a story based off the information you have shared, we will of course be in touch with you to let you know how we'd like to share your story and ensure you are comfortable.

Where will my story be shared?

We use many different avenues to communicate with our supporters and share stories of people connected to Peter Mac some examples of how we may use your story include;  a news article on our website,  a post shared on our social media channels  in a printed fundraising appeal or campaign in a digital appeal or campaign  at a Peter Mac event or fundraising activity shared for the purpose of publicity, promotion, education or fundraising
