Professor Stephen Stuckey

Biography

Professor Stephen Stuckey was appointed as Director of Cancer Imaging at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre in 2021. Professor Stuckey was Director of MRI at The Alfred from 1996-2004 and Chair of Medical Imaging Princess Alexandra Hospital Brisbane from 2004-2007. Professor Stuckey joined Monash Health as the Director of Medical Imaging in 2007 and lead its transformation to Victoria’s largest public healthcare imaging service over 13 years. The concurrent academic success of this transformation led to five imaging university professorial appointments.

Professor Stuckey’s training includes time spent in the USA and at The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery in London. A previous Victorian branch RANZCR Chair for over a decade, an Accreditation Officer of the RANZCR and a RANZCR examiner, Professor Stuckey has an extensive history of commitment to the quality of imaging in Australia.

Professor Stuckey has over 100 publications with a focus on MRI, neuroradiology and brain tumours.
