Alison Lemoh
Biography
Alison works as an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Outreach Clinical Nurse Consultant with Peter Mac's High Acuity Team. She completed her primary ICU training at Sydney's Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in 2005, and went on to work as an ICU Associate Nurse Unit Manager within Peter Mac's ICU at East Melbourne. She then as an ICU clinical nurse specialist in the Royal Melbourne Hospital's Intensive Care Unit. She is also a PhD Fellow with the National Centre for Infections in Cancer, enrolled through the University of Melbourne supported by a full university scholarship. Her research studies are investigating the role of nurses and nursing leadership in the early recognition and management of sepsis across high and low-resourced clinical settings. It alsoexplores how clinical team dynamics, cultural and linguistic diversity amongst staff, and psychological safety in organisational culture and teams impacts on how nurses communicate concern and escalate care in response to patient deterioration.
