Our team at Sunshine Hospital Radiation Therapy Centre
Our Sunshine campus team includes skilled radiation oncologists, radiation therapists and medical physicists. They collaborate to design your radiation therapy plan and deliver your treatment.
They work with our nurses, allied health, and administrative staff. Together they provide the highest standard of individualised patient-centred care.
Each of our attending radiation oncologists specialises in a specific tumour type. They are a member of the appropriate specialist multidisciplinary unit. These units include

Getting to our Sunshine campus, the Sunshine Hospital Radiation Therapy Centre
Sunshine Hospital Radiation Therapy Centre is on the main Sunshine Hospital driveway. If you come to the centre by car there is easy access from the western and northern suburbs. We recommend that you come via the M80 Ring Road and take the Furlong Road exit.
Operating hours
Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5:30 pm
Sunshine campus car parking
Car parking is available on the hospital grounds. The centre covers parking costs for radiation therapy treatment appointments.
Public transport
Metropolitan and regional trains, trams, buses, and coaches are available. Call Public Transport Victoria on 1800 800 007 (6 am to midnight daily) or visit Public Transport Victoria to plan your journey.
Train
Go to Ginifer Railway Station on the Sydenham Line.
You can then walk 10-minutes along St Albans Road, then Furlong Road, to the centre.
Buses
Route 408 Highpoint SC – St Albans Station stops in front of the Sunshine Hospital emergency department.
Volunteer and ambulance transport
For eligible patients, we can arrange alternative forms of transport when other transport is not practical. Please discuss this with your radiation oncologist.
