Peter Mac welcomes visitors between the hours of 8am and 8pm. Please do not visit Peter Mac if you are feeling unwell or have been in close contact with someone with COVID-19.

Visitors coming to Peter Mac

There are no restrictions on the number of people who can accompany a patient to an appointment.

Upon arrival, our dedicated staff are available to assist patients and visitors, offering guidance and additonal information as needed.

Masks are not required for patients, visitors, or contractors except when special precautions are necessary to protect patients with higher clinical risk.

Surgical masks are still required for certain patients and the staff caring for them in the following areas:

  • Ward 5A
  • Apheresis
  • Haematology Clinics
  • Ambulatory Cell Therapies (1E)

Additional situations possibly requiring N95 masks include:

  • Household contacts of someone with COVID-19.
  • Inpatients who test positive for COVID-19 or patients with suspected COVID-19 must wear an N95 mask, or a surgical mask if an N95 is not tolerated.

Face masks are available for patients, visitors and contractors who choose to wear them.
