Alexandra Tighe is a Partner of large national law firm, Clayton Utz. Alex specialises in commercial disputes and litigation, regulatory investigations and Royal Commissions.
Alex has over 20 years’ experience as a senior lawyer acting in large complex commercial disputes in the Federal and Supreme Courts. In addition, Alex has extensive experience in consumer law, administrative law, regulatory disputes and investigations. Alex regularly advises Commonwealth and State Government Departments and Agencies. Alex led the legal team acting as Solicitors Assisting the ‘Lawyer X’ Royal Commission and acted on behalf of the State of Victoria in the Crown Casino Royal Commission.
Alex is a highly proficient litigator and has been recognised by her peers as a Leading Victorian Commercial Litigation and Dispute Resolution Lawyer in Doyle’s Guide and in Best Lawyers for Government Practice. Alex has been listed as a finalist in the Lawyers Weekly Partner of the Year Awards and was named Partner of the Year – Big Law, at the Lawyers Weekly Women in Law Awards in 2020.
In addition to her role at Clayton Utz, Alex is a non-executive Director on the Board of the Mercy Health Foundation and founded the Silver Wattle Gala Ball which raises funds to support research into the prevention of stillbirth.
