The Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre Pathology Department is a NATA accredited Category GX laboratory, located on the fourth floor of the VCCC Building. It operates a 24 hour on site service and comprises of anatomical pathology, a Core laboratory (comprising Biochemistry, Bloodbank, CSR and Haematology), Flow Cytometry and Molecular Pathology testing services. Microbiology testing and viral serology is referred to the Royal Melbourne Hospital Pathology Service. Specialised Virology testing is referred to Victorian Infectious Diseases Research Laboratories.
