George Cozaris is an experienced information technology executive. He has deep strategic leadership experience, and an exceptional track record leading information technology change programs within health and government.
He is passionate about introducing new digital advancements, identifying efficiencies, and exploring collaboration and consolidation opportunities.
George joined the Royal Women’s Hospital as Executive Director of Information Management and Technology in 2015.
In 2018, he established the shared Digital Innovation service at the Royal Women’s and Royal Melbourne Hospitals, where he was appointed Chief Digital Information Officer.
In October 2024, George was also appointed Chief Digital Information Officer at Peter Mac, unifying the three hospitals’ digital strategy and operations into one shared service.
Previously, George was Chief Information Officer at Austin Health, Alfred Health and National IT Manager at the CSIRO.
From 2016-20, George Chaired the Victorian Health Chief Information Officers Committee.
He currently serves on Health Share Victoria and Melbourne Genomics’ ICT Committees.
