About Dr Barrie Dalgleish

Dr Barrie Dalgleish was born in Melbourne and attended Northcote High School where he was bestowed the award of Dux. He went on to study at the University of Melbourne and gained an arts degree with Honours before continuing his education in Canada and the UK

Dr Barrie Dalgleish was born in Melbourne and attended Northcote High School where he was bestowed the award of Dux of Humanities. Barrie went on to study at the University of Melbourne and gained an arts degree with Honours before continuing his education in Canada and the UK. Barrie gained his Masters and PhD in Psychology and went on to have a career in psychology, working in global academic institutions for many years. He returned to Australia and worked in childhood psychology, with a particular interest in childhood development and children with hearing impairments, co-writing books in this area.

In 2021, Dr Barrie Dalgleish passed away as a result of myeloma.
