Dr Dishan Herath, Executive Director, Digital Healthcare Innovation (acting)
Dr Dishan Herath was appointed Acting Executive Director, Digital Healthcare Innovation in May 2024.
Dr Herath trained as a medical oncologist and nuclear medicine physician. Prior to being appointed as an Executive Director, he was also Chief Medical Information Officer (CMIO) at Peter Mac and the medical lead for the Epic electronic medical record.
In addition to his roles at Peter Mac, Dr Herath is Head of Cancer Services at Western Health and Clinical Director of the Western and Central Melbourne Integrated Cancer Services (WCMICS).
Dr Herath's clinical area of interest is helping people experiencing lung cancer.
