Biography

Belinda Lambros is the Nurse Practitioner for Infectious Diseases and Antimicrobial Stewardship in Oncology at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre. She is also a Clinician researcher with the National Centre for Infections in Cancer and Transplantation.

Belinda has a passion for patient and staff education and improving patient outcomes. She aims to make systems and digital tools work efficiently to enable bedside staff to provide optimal evidence-based care. Her current role is the first of its kind in Australia and provides support for Peter Mac patients in both the inpatient and ambulatory settings. The key areas of the role include: sepsis pathway, antibiotic allergy assessment and de-labelling, low risk febrile neutropenia ambulatory program, antimicrobial stewardship, vaccination for cancer patients and education to clinical staff on these areas. She is currently undertaking a Digital Health Fellowship with the University of Melbourne focusing on sepsis pathways in the Electronic Medical Record.

Belinda has over 15 years nursing experience a Masters in Advanced Nursing Practice and brings knowledge from work in various areas of the hospital such as critical care, cancer experiences research and tumour stream specialist nursing.
