Biography

Mel is an Allied Health Assistant at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre working across the Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology, Occupational Therapy and Nutrition Departments.

Mel is an Exercise and Sports Science Graduate, Accredited Exercise Scientist and Registered Nutritionist and is passionate about the Allied Health space. She is a strong advocate for providing a holistic approach to the care of patients throughout their cancer journey - particularly through keeping active, eating well and looking after emotional health.

Mel works as part of the Prehabilitation service which aim’s to improve patient's fitness, nutritional status and mental health whilst preparing for major cancer surgery or stem cell transplant treatment.

Mel strives to provide high quality patient centered care and enjoys helping and seeing patients achieve their goals.
