What does the Patient and Carer Support Service offer?

The Patient and Carer Support (PACS) Service was developed to improve your experience through better service navigation, access to information and support networks. The service is provided on a drop-in basis and aims to solve minor problems before they become serious challenges and barriers to better health outcomes.

Learn about and get help to access services 

The Patient and Carer Support officer can help you find the right person or service within Peter Mac to meet your needs. They can also help you find cancer information, resources, and programs. Our space displays hard copy resources from trusted organisations like Cancer Council, Lymphoma Australia, and Leukemia Foundation. These resources are available outside our opening hours and free to take home with you.

Get support to sign up to the Health Hub  patient portal app

Health Hub is a secure mobile and web application that connects you with your hospital information from home or on the go. The Patient and Carer Support officer can help with Health Hub queries or troubleshoot technical problems. They can also guide you and your proxies to set up your Health Hub account step by step in person, over the phone or via email.

Ask questions and raise your concerns

Your feedback is very important to us and will help improve our services at Peter Mac. The Patient and Carer Support Officer can help you to provide feedback and escalate your concerns to the Consumer Liaison Officer if required.
