Dr Amanda Lee
Operations Manager and Senior Research Officer
Biography
As Operations Manager and Senior Research Officer in the Molecular Genomics Core, our facility provides state-of-the-art genomics service, advice and equipment to support researchers conducting genomics experiments. We collaborate with other core facilities at Peter Mac and the Pathology Department to integrate all aspects of sample processing and analysis. This gives the researchers and clinicians technical confidence to focus on the biology they are trying to answer. Via the MGC, the researcher has expert access to:
- Next Generation Sequencing (Illumina NovaSeq, NextSeq and MiSeq): whole genome sequencing, whole exome sequencing, targeted DNA sequencing, RNA-Seq, ChIP-Seq, ATAC-Seq, CRISPR-Seq, and so forth.
- Single Cell Sequencing (Chromium, 10x Genomics): Single-cell gene expression, single-cell immune profiling, single-cell ATAC-Seq, and so forth.
- Spatial Transcriptomics (GeoMX DSP, Nanostring and Visium, 10x Genomics): gene expression within tissue from FFPE or FF sections.
- Others: Nanostring for hybridisation-based gene expression; MAC-seq for high-throughput RNA-Seq; TapeStation for nucleic acid QC; liquid handlers for high throughput sample processing, and so forth.
