Biography

Dr Angela Webb is Head of the Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Unit at Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre. Graduating in Medicine from the University of Melbourne in 1996, Dr Webb has pursued her interests in reconstructive surgery especially in the areas of skin and breast cancer reconstruction. In addition to being awarded her fellowship in plastic and reconstructive surgery from the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, Dr Webb completed a Masters of surgery at The University of Melbourne. After undertaking further subspecialty training in the United Kingdom, in 2011, Dr Webb was the surgical co-ordinator of Australia’s first hand transplant at St Vincent’s Hospital, Melbourne. Dr Webb won multiple prizes for research during her surgical training, regularly presents at National and International meetings, is actively involved in clinical research and has scores of credited research presentations and papers. Dr Webb is the Chair of Victoria / Tasmania Regional Subcommittee of the Australian Society of Plastic Surgery and is thus responsible for overseeing the training of plastic surgeons. Her special passion is for helping patients with skin cancer and breast reconstruction surgery.
