Biography

Associate Professor Annette Lim is a Consultant Medical Oncologist and Clinician Researcher in the Head and Neck Cancer and Complex Skin Cancer Units at Peter Mac. She is the Clinical Lead for the Head and Neck Medical Oncology Service, and co-chair of the Head and Neck Cancer and Complex Skin Multidisciplinary Teams. She is passionate about improving outcomes for cancer patients through excellence and compassion in clinical care, combined with collaborative multidisciplinary clinical and translational research.

Associate Professor Lim obtained her medical degree from the University of Western Australia and first came to Peter Mac as the inaugural Spotlight Head and Neck Medical Oncology Fellow. She is one of few head and neck cancer sub-specialised Medical Oncologists with a laboratory-based PhD, which she completed in 2015 at the University of Melbourne. She is a member of the Head and Neck and Skin Working Party for the Trans-Tasman Radiation Oncology Group and is a member of the Head and Neck Cancer International Group Protocols and Guidelines committee.

As a clinician-researcher, Associate Professor Lim leads several phase I-III clinical trials, notably advancing therapeutic strategies for head and neck cancers and non-melanoma skin cancer.
