Dr Antonio Ahn

Biography

Antonio Ahn is a postdoctoral scientist in the Goel lab within the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre. He is a dual-trained wet-lab molecular biologist and bioinformatician. He obtained his PhD at Otago University (New Zealand) in 2019, where he investigated melanoma and an immune checkpoint protein called PD-L1. In 2021, he was awarded the John Gavin Post-doctoral fellowship from Cancer Research Trust NZ to conduct research in the Goel lab. He has established bioinformatic pipelines for numerous high-throughput sequencing datasets and has a strong interest in understanding the epigenome of cancer and drug resistance. Antonio has co-authored 13 publications, the majority of which involved significant bioinformatic analysis.
