Radiation Oncologist

Biography

Dr Chen Liu trained as a Radiation Oncologist at the Peter Maccallum Cancer Center prior to undertaking a head and neck fellowship at the Princess Margaret Hospital in Toronto Canada. She returned to Melbourne in 2008 as a consultant with the head and neck/ breast units. This was followed by roles as the director of training and campus director at the Peter Maccallum Parkville campus. She also attends clinics and multidisciplinary meetings as an honorary consultant at Eastern Health.

She is actively involved in research with multiple publications in head and neck cancer, as well as a successful grant application for a rapid access palliative radiotherapy service in our previously located East Melbourne campus. She is co-investigator of multiple international multicentre breast clinical trials.

She speaks mandarin and works exclusively at our Peter MacCallum Campus in Box Hill treating both head/neck and breast cancers.
