Dr Elizabeth Pearson
Biography
Elizabeth has worked at Peter Mac in roles including occupational therapist, department head and now as health services researcher. Her main goal in all roles has been to help people with cancer live their lives as well as possible, for as long as possible. After completing her PhD in 2017, Elizabeth's research has been focused on understanding and addressing the common problem of cancer-related fatigue. She has led other projects including developing a strategy for addressing informal caregiver needs at Peter Mac, qualitative studies on patient experiences of Phase I clinical trials, and evaluation of a seated radiotherapy device. Her current role focuses on developing Allied Health clinicians’ research skills. Expertise includes implementation theory, protocol development, ethics, qualitative analysis, surveys, manuscripts and peer review.
