Dr Emma Link
Biography
Emma is the Manager of the Biostatistics team and a Senior Statistician within the Centre for Biostatistics and Clinical Trials (BaCT). As a biostatistician for 20 years, she has extensive experience in clinical trials, observational and epidemiological study planning, implementation, data analysis, interpretation and dissemination. She is passionate about application and development of appropriate statistical methods, ultimately leading to improvements in human health outcomes.

Emma has served as a trial statistician and Data Safety Monitoring Committee independent statistician for many local and international trials for Clinical Trial Sponsors in Australia. Emma has focussed on oncology and heart studies at a specialist hospital and Universities in Melbourne and Oxford, with successes in attracting grant funding and publications cited over 3600 times, and has also developed skills in team management and coordination and teaching. Emma has previously worked at the University of Oxford in the Clinical Trials Service Unit and Monash University Departments of Epidemiology and Preventive Medicine and Medicine, and tutoring.
