Maricar (she/her) is a Social Worker currently providing specialised clinical care with over 12 years of acute and subacute hospital experience. Maricar is passionate about supporting people and families experiencing family violence, in particular elder abuse. She is involved in the family violence working group at Peter Mac which provides training to Peter Mac clinicians on how to respond to family violence. Currently Maricar is leading the clinical portfolio group within the social work department. With most recently leading and supporting the social work department through the changes of migration of data to OneDrive. Maricar has collaborated with social workers within the hospital precinct and has presented findings at the Oncology Social Work Australia and New Zealand conference in 2017 and 2021. Outside of the workplace Maricar enjoys spending time with her young family travelling being outdoors.
