Associate Professor Michelle Yong is an infectious diseases clinician researcher with specialty knowledge in the field of infections in the immune compromised host spanning more than 15 years of experience in transplant, cancer, and malignant haematology patients.

Her research has transformed the clinical care and understanding of viral, bacterial, and fungal infections through use of immune biomarkers, use of infection definitions in trials and via leadership on writing panels for international guidelines.
