Vanessa O’Shaughnessy has executive responsibility for strategic communications, media relations, internal and stakeholder engagement and digital channels, with more than 25 years’ experience in the communications industry.
She combines this with a deep commitment to progressing environmental sustainability at Peter Mac and throughout the Victorian health sector, with Peter Mac’s first Environmental Sustainability Strategy launched in 2024.
Vanessa joined Peter Mac in 2020, following 10 years in leadership roles within the Victorian public service, across the health, human services, justice and education sectors. These followed roles at ANZ Bank and as a journalist for The Age newspaper.
In 2022, Vanessa joined the Board of Myeloma Australia, while also serving in voluntary roles in her west Melbourne community.
Vanessa holds a Global Executive Master of Business Administration from Monash University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Marketing.
