Ruth is a Clinical Social Worker with experience across community, hospital, government and non-for-profit organisations. Ruth grew a passion for oncology care when working for a paediatric cancer charity in NSW. Ruth relocated to Melbourne in 2016 and began working with Peter Mac’s adolescent and young adult team before relocating to Canada for a couple of years. After working across mental health services overseas, Ruth has returned to Peter Mac's adult team and has a strong focus on advocacy and identifying individual support needs for adults, families and carers across their cancer experience. Ruth is also involved in the paediatric team supporting children and families having radiation at Peter Mac.
