Biography
Dr D'Souza is an Immunologist with a research focus on developing and translating new immunotherapies for cancer with minimal side effects and improved patient outcomes. She is a postdoctoral researcher in the human immunology translational research lab within the Cancer Immunology program at the Peter Mac. She has expertise in developing new chimeric antigen receptor-T (CAR-T) cell therapies for T-cell lymphoma and improving CAR-T therapies for prostate cancer, myeloma and breast cancer. She also studies the tumour immune microenvironment in renal cell carcinoma patients who have received combination radiation and immunotherapy to understand patient responses.
