Dr Jovana Maksimovic

Biography
After completing her PhD in computational biology at Monash University in 2011, Dr Maksimovic was a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Bioinformatics Group at the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute before joining the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre in 2019. She has worked in Bioinformatics and Computational Biology for over 14 years on various data analysis and methods development projects, with particular influence in the field of methylation array analysis. As a co-principal investigator on a Chan Zuckerberg Initiative Paediatric Network Grant, Dr Maksimovic leads a team within the Oshlack Lab at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre working on developing novel approaches for single-cell analysis.
