Biography

Associate ProfessorAnita Skandarajah is a Breast and Endocrine Surgeon at the Peter Mac Callum Cancer Centre and Deputy Director of General Surgery at The Royal Melbourne Hospital and professor at The University of Melbourne. and supervises postgraduate research students. She completed a Doctor of Medicine degree at the Joint Proteomics Laboratory of The Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research evaluating the role of proteomics in the discovery of plasma biomarkers and supervises postgraduate students. Her main clinical interests are patients at high risk of developing cancer, familial syndromes and de-escalating treatments for breast and thyroid cancer patients. Her main research interests are clinical trials, risk-reduction, clinical and patient reported outcomes.
